After selling his 33 Degrees brand fashion clothing line in 2004, John Finch was ready for something new. Spurred by a bad travel experience, Finch that year founded Sunshine Shuttle. It is now the largest transportation company in northwest Florida, with 50 employees and 40 buses, coaches, shuttles and limousines. Headquartered at Santa Rosa Beach, the business has increased revenue 20% in each of the past three years. His recent purchase of Chipley-based Trumpet Coach added six 57-passenger coaches. He’s mulling yet another venture, offering to provide trolley service along the busy 30-A corridor, depending on sponsor interest — "should the county or the TDC want to move forward on this."
